Sustainability

SustainabilitySustainability is a complex issue, involving many disciplines and perspectives. As University administrators we have a unique chance,
by exercising effective management over our activities, to have our Universities promote the sustainable use of their resources, seek to minimize risks to and negative impacts on the environment, and underscore our commitment to protect human health and the
environment.

We all know that the sustainable building is an integrated framework of design, demolition, construction and operating practices that encompass the environmental, economic and social impacts of campus community. When constructing our new buildings we collaborate, with our architects, on the sustainable design that includes
efficient management of energy and water resources, management of materials and waste, protection of health and indoor environmental quality.

During this year's conference we will hear and learn new approaches to sustainability. While organizing the conference we have strived to walk the sustainability talk. Let us summarize here what has been done and what each of us can do to make this conference a real experience of sustainable approach to life.
